With many of the new Home Owners and current Millennials looking to purchase, one of the items on the wish/want/need list is an area to use to earn additional income. If it's a separate entrance to a room/bath/hot plate or an entire second apartment in the garage, having the space to multipurpose can be of huge value. Sharing space, most likely the kitchen, can be a bit unnerving but it's common for this age bracket.
Being mobile and not tied to one spot in this era of working from anywhere is also huge which makes having an additional income space attractive for those who do plant roots.
What I've found is the separate entrance idea is the best. This way the AirBnB guest can come and go at their own pace and feel that they aren't intruding on the owner's life.
